Field medic Yuma is trained to be able to attend to wounds and injuries during high-stress environments. Yuma can keep her calm while keeping her patient's health at the highest priority.General medicine Yuma is able to provide general medicine for both injuries and illnesses. Although she was able to treat things such as a common cold or even being a midwife to assist in deliveries, Yuma is not a surgeon, and her skills do have a limit.Apothecary Able to make simple medicines with herbs and other ingredients available to her. Yuma has been known to make small medications for times of need.Herbalism A small skill she started to aid in making medicine. Yuma is able to grow and properly preserve and dry the herbs needed for her medications.

Jian "Gentleman of Weapons"A family heirloom. A double-edged straight sword that was once used by Yuma's father. Jian usually only weighs 2.2 pounds, which allows for Yuma to wield it better. These blades were designed for agility and not brute force.

Khakkhara A staff that Yuma has brought on her travels from Doma. The staff is used as a focus when using aether. Using this staff to pull from the surrounding environment to borrow ambient aether. The rings on the staff are to alert small creatures of passage.

Talekeeper Rapier This Rapier was given as a gift from House Durendaire. Knowing the Raen would not have the strength to carry blades like most knights, her former knight suggested something lighter. Yuma has been practicing with this new blade since. There is still room for improvement, but Yuma herself is proud of how she can wield the blade.

Reinforced Staff Also used as a focus for Yuma when using aether. A gift from the house since coming to Ishgard. It was obvious that Yuma was more comfortable with staves, so this was given as a way to defend herself in battle.

The Story thus far

Doma Born and raised in Doma. Yuma lost her parents at a young age due to war. Left with only her older brother, Naotaka, the pair began to care for each other. Unseparable until they began to carve their own fates out for themselves. Yuma started to harness her abilities as a medic and secretly even realized her own abilities to harness her aether to provide medical assistance {White mage}. Yuma spent most of her teen/ young adult life working on the Restoration efforts. Yuma was always willing to assist in any situation that might call for her. In illness, injury, and even childbirth, Yuma provided her skills to help those around her.Both siblings were trying their best to learn skills and provide support to their community. Doma was nearly rebuilt, and the siblings felt the call. Her older brother was the first when he left Doma. Several moons later, Yuma followed suit, deciding to leave her homeland to use her skills to help others in need.However, she found herself in uncharted land. Her brother returning to Doma just as she had left, Yuma was alone. She must now traverse these new lands and learn about those around her before she can be of service. .

Ishgard Yuma found herself in Ishgard. Stumbling across a damaged knight, she quickly put her skills to the test and healed him. This knight would change the course of her life outside of Doma. To repair Yuma for her good Deed, the knight took her on as his ward. From there, Yuma became a House Knight for House Durendaire. The knight taught her not only how to handle a sword but also about the culture of Ishgard. Yuma became quickly infatuated with said knight, never having been provided the type of care and instruction before.But this tale had a tragic end. Although the knight had been teaching her the ways of his land, he himself was not following the harsh rules and traditions of Ishgard. And Yuma's eyes were opened to the fact that she did not want to see - That the feelings were not returned.Stranded without a knight to guide her on her own journey. Yuma was reassigned to be the ward of one Ser Taliesin the Grim.
